James Franco will host NBC’s Saturday Night Live on December 9, his fourth time. Kevin Hart takes the gig the following week, December 16, marking his third time as host.
Those SNL episodes will round out December’s three-week run of new shows. As previously reported, Saoirse Ronan will make her hosting debut this Saturday, December 2., with musical guest U2.
Musical guests for the Franco episode will be SZA, and Hart’s will be Foo Fighters.
Each of the hosts has a movie to plug: Ronan is starring in Greta Gerwig’s Lady Bird, Franco’s The Disaster Artist opens this Friday in limited release and December 8 nationwide, and Hart’s Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle opens December 20.
As for the musical guests, U2’s 14th album, Songs of Experience, is out December 1, and Foo Fighters are touring to support their latest, Concrete and Gold. SZA’s album Ctrl was released in the summer.
