At 84, Robert Duvall shows no signs of slowing down on the big screen.

The above exclusive trailer for Wild Horses showcases the Oscar winner —

most recently seen opposite Robert Downey Jr. in The Judge — who wrote, directed, and stars in this cowboy crime drama.

Also starring James Franco, Josh Hartnett, and Duvall’s wife, Luciana, as a Texas Ranger compelled to reopen a 15-year-old missing-persons case, Wild Horses enters select theaters on June 5 — the same day it goes on demand.

If you’re disappointed you’ll no longer be able to see James Franco‘s interview skills in The Interview next week, maybe True Story can help scratch that itch. Directed by Rupert Goold, the Sundance drama sees Franco engaging in an entirely different kind of interview, from the other side of the coneversation.

Franco plays Christian Longo, a man wanted for murdering his family. He goes on the run and assumes the identity of New York Times reporter Michael Finkel — much to the surprise of the real Michael Finkel, played by Jonah Hill. Watch the True Story trailer after the jump.
The premise of True Story sounds pretty wild but, as the title suggests, it is in fact based on a true story. Finkel published a memoir about his bizarre encounter with Longo in 2006, and it serves as the source material for the film. Goold and David Kajganich wrote the script.
While Longo was fleeing from the authorities, Finkel was facing a fall from grace. The day after Longo’s arrest by the FBI, Finkel was fired from the New York Times for fabricating parts of an investigative article. Nevertheless, Longo insisted that he only wanted to speak with Finkel, so the journalist reached out to the prisoner to find out the truth.

The first True Story trailer looks intense and interesting. It’s not at all funny, but there is some amusement in seeing Franco and Hill go dead serious since they were fending off demonic penises and Hollywood egos the last time we saw them together.

Felicity Jones co-stars as Finkel’s long-suffering girlfriend. True Story has its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival next month. A theatrical release is scheduled for April 10, 2015. Here’s the Sundance synopsis:

When disgraced New York Times reporter Michael Finkel meets accused killer Christian Longo — who has taken on Finkel’s identity — his investigation morphs into an unforgettable game of cat and mouse. Based on actual events, Finkel’s relentless pursuit of Longo’s true story encompasses murder, love, deceit, and redemption.

James Franco puts his arm around Kim Jong-un (actor Randall Park) while partying it up in the new trailer for his movie The Interview.

In the trailer, we find out James‘ character Dave Skylark and Kim Jong-un have a mutual adoration of the Katy Perry song “Firework,” which begins their friendship.

The plot of the film sends Dave Skylark (Franco) and his producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen), who run the popular celebrity tabloid TV show “Skylark Tonight,” to North Korea to assassinate Kim Jong-un.

The comedy will be released on Christmas Day.

managed to draw attention with their upcoming film, “The Color of Time.”
The biographic drama tells the poetic story of writer C.K. Williams, including the most poignant and problematic moments of his life. Williams, a Pulitzer Prize-winning poet, finds a rebirth in this forthcoming film pulling from his memorable “The Color of Time” body of work.
Viewers can expect a heartfelt cinematic journey through 11 of the poet’s works in this series, but really a narrative about his character.
The film races from Williams’ childhood and adolescent years in Detroit during the 1940s and 50s to the early 1980s. Franco steps into the role of the talented writer, who eventually marries Catherine Mauger, played by Kunis.
But this feature will vacillate between the past and present (hopefully with ease.)
The emotional parts of the film are punctuated by voice-overs from Williams’ poems, merging memories and moments in a unique way. And at its heart, “The Color of Time” is the bemusing tale of one man’s life broken into fragments like puzzle pieces.
Scenes show Williams’ passing many nights with writer’s block, struggling to craft and create work. Other moments give glimpses into the things of his past that haunted him.
One standout section reveals the famed poet preparing for a reading of “Tar” in New York City, reflecting on the paramount points of his life.
And through this retrospection, viewers come to know and understand Williams; there are entry points into his various relationships, the women in his life, as well as his thoughts on love and loss.
Jessica Chastain, Zach Braff, Henry Hopper and Bruce Campbell also star in the film.
